This year’s Double H Ranch Annual Gala will feature a one-of-a-kind Amateur Baking Competition.
We are looking for the area’s best amateur bakers to compete for a grand prize of $1,000 American Express Gift Card
Three finalists will be selected to serve their very own creation to Gala guests who will determine the winner.
In coordination with Sponsor Dunkin’ Donuts all recipes MUST contain an item off of Dunkin’s menu.
Dunkin’ ingredients can be used in any format as long as it is listed in the ingredient list.
Dessert item must be able to be served cold.
Who: Contestants are amateur bakers, home cooks, non-professionals.
When: Three finalists will be selected to serve their dessert at the Double H Annual Gala on Friday, June 27, 2014.
Where: Great Escape & Splashwater Kingdom Queensbury N.Y.
First Place: Golden Nugget $1,000 American Express Gift Card
Second Place: Silver Nugget $500 American Express Gift Card
Third Place: Bronze Nugget $250 Dunkin Donuts gift certificate
One recipe per contestant may be submitted and must be original, adapted by the contestant and not copied from any source.
All baking and dessert preparation will take place on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at the Great Escape starting at 2:00 pm.
The Double H will provide 3-4 assistants to help with preparation of dessert on Thursday, June 26, 2014.
The dessert must be able to be served cold as all preparation will take place the day before the event.
June 27th, desserts will be plated and served by Glen Sanders Mansion Staff.
Finalists will serve their dessert to 800 guests and will be provided a stipend of $200 to purchase all ingredients, in addition to Dunkin’ Donuts ingredient.
Contest is open to amateur bakers only, 18 years or older. Double H Ranch Staff, Board of Directors, Gala Committee Members, professional culinarians and food experts are not eligible.
Finalists will be notified June 1, 2014 and winner will be selected by Gala guests on June 27, 2014.
Finalists are invited to bring 3 complementary guests to the Double H Ranch Annual Gala.
Finalist must provide for their own transportation and bring their own baking supplies.
