In an exciting new partnership this summer, the Double H Ranch collaborated with Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) to bring world-renowned artists to our campers. The collaboration began in July with the National Dance Institute providing a day of dance workshops for campers. Following the dance program, SPAC brought Wynton Marsalis and musicians from Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra (JLCO) to camp. Hosted by Wynton Marsalis, the program featured an hour-long interactive concert with members from the JLCO including Victor Goines (saxophone), Chris Crenshaw (trombone), Carlos Henriquez (bass), Dan Nimmer (piano), and Jason Marsalis (drums).
“Bringing jazz icon Wynton Marsalis and musicians from JLCO to children who don’t have the opportunity to experience music and dance is part of our expanded mission to increase accessibility to inspiring, world-class performances,” said Elizabeth Sobol, President & CEO of Saratoga Performing Arts Center. “We are thrilled to be partnering with Double H Ranch and are grateful for the support of the Neil & Jane Golub Foundation, which made this meaningful program possible.”
“The Double H Ranch takes great pride in providing our campers with life-changing experiences. Our partnership with SPAC is giving our campers a unique opportunity to interact with world renowned artists that will have a lasting impact on their lives. From the National Dance Institute to Wynton Marsalis & the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, the campers have engaged in interactive activities that will never be forgotten. On behalf of our inspirational children, our entire Double H Ranch team is thrilled to be partnering with SPAC,” said Max Yurenda, CEO of Double H Ranch.
We are grateful for this incredible partnership with Saratoga Performing Arts Center and look forward to future collaborations!
