The Double H Ranch announces the appointment of three new members of its Board of Directors. Joining the Board of Directors are Russell Teplitzky, Sheri Lyons and Colleen Carter. “As the Double H Ranch continues to grow in order to meet the needs of our children, we recognize how fortunate we are to have such a remarkable leadership advancing the strategic direction of the organization. These three new Board members possess the passion, dedication and attributes that will most definitely add value to our Board leadership,” Max Yurenda, Executive Director/CEO.
Russell Teplitzky is the General Manager of DeCrescente Distributing Company, a position he has held for over a decade. Mr. Teplitzky earned his bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Stockton State College while working as a delivery truck driver for a local distributing company. With his 32 years of industry experience, he has played a key role in DeCrescente’s overall sales, strategic growth and engaging corporate culture. Mr. Teplitzky sits on several professional and civic councils including the MillerCoors National Business Council, FIFCO USA’s National Advisory Board and the American Diabetes Association as an Executive Committee Member for the Tour De Cure. Russell has been a strong supporter of the Double H Ranch for years as a committee member for several events and looks forward to his new role as Board Member. Mr. Teplitzky states “I am excited and humbled about the opportunity to join the Double H Ranch Board of Directors. It is a privilege to be a part of this amazing group of dedicated, passionate individuals working together to enhance the lives of children and their families as they deal with life threatening illness.”
Sheri Lyons earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Le Moyne College and continued her education with an MBA from the University of Albany. Mrs. Lyons has been with the AYCO company since 1994 and has held the position of Senior Vice President, Human Capital Management since 2000. She has paired her many professional achievements with a strong background in community involvement. Sheri has been involved with the Double H Ranch for years through volunteer opportunities, event attendance and providing professional training to the Double H team. “Double H Ranch is an incredibly special place in our community. I look forward to joining the board, staff members and hundreds of volunteers to make a difference in the lives of the children and their families” said Lyons. Along with the Double H Ranch, Mrs. Lyons has been instrumental in several fundraising events and charitable endeavors to raise support for Albany Medical Center, the Lymphoma Leukemia Society, Multiple Myeloma research, Ronald McDonald House and the Special Olympics to name a few.
Collen Carter has taken on the position of Chief Marketing Officer at Fingerpaint. Her more than 20 years of experience within the Marketing and Advertising industry, working for companies such as Harrison & Star, EVP and JUICE Pharma Worldwide, will make her a valuable addition to the Board of Directors. “I am so inspired by the extraordinary ways in which the Double H Ranch provides year-round specialized programs and support to enrich the lives of so many children and their families who are dealing with life-altering conditions,” said Carter. “It is an honor to be joining the Board and I am looking forward to working with the entire team to continue moving forward the values and mission of this incredible organization.” Carter is a graduate of Western Connecticut State University and has earned a wide range of achievements including; Medical Advertising Hall of Fame Board Member, Edward Hopper House Board Trustee and Rutgers Design Thinking Advisory Board Member.
