Alternative Summer Camp 2020

Illuminate Your Path with Camp@HHome

lantern graphic with firefliesWe are excited to announce the theme of this year’s summer program – Illuminate Your Path! This year’s theme will serve as the guiding light to help bring the magic of the Double H Ranch to our campers and their communities. Our alternative and virtual programming will give our campers the tools and resources needed to continue to help them become more independent, resilient and confident, but in a way that allows them to create their own camp experience at home with their families.

This summer you will get to spend four days connecting with other campers and counselors, while participating in your favorite camp activities redesigned for home.

Qualifying campers and their siblings aged 6 – 16 are invited to participate in one of six virtual camp sessions.

Campers aged 17 – 21 are eligible for the virtual Alumni Session.

Each Camp@HHome Session is made up of three important parts:

@HHome Activities: Access a collection of summer camp games and activities! Recreate camp classics, like make your own ice cream, or discover new ideas that can be done at home with common household materials. The collection will be updated all summer long, so you can find new resources even after your session is over.

Virtual Events: Safely connect virtually with fellow campers and counselors! Throughout the four-day sessions, Double H staff and volunteers will host a series of virtual camp events. Just like traditional sessions, we’ll kick things off with an opening campfire and end with a talent show and wishboat ceremony. You’ll also have time to hang out in cabin groups for daily activities and nightly cabin chats.

Bear Hug Deliveries: Receive a package from camp! Before each session begins, campers will be sent a bundle of your favorite camp traditions and keepsakes. We know this summer wouldn’t be complete without a camper t-shirt, water bottle, and so much more!
