In the evening, campers participate in camp-wide events such as the Opening Campfire, Camp Wide Game, a Camp Dance, and Talent Show. This summer, all camp-wide events will be adapted so that cabins may participate while maintaining their podded groups.
At the end of the day, campers and counselors return to their spaces for Cabin Chat. This camp tradition asks a common question of the group to help everyone reflect on the events of the day and learn more about one another. Questions can be silly, serious, or completely random, and everyone is given the chance to answer if they wish.
On the last evening of each camp session, we hold a Wishboat Ceremony on the Waterfront peninsula. Each cabin creates a wishboat made of sticks, tree bark, flowers, and other materials found in nature. At the Wishboat Ceremony, campers write their wish on a piece of birch bark to place on the boat before it is set aflame and sent out on the lake. Campers and staff take this time to reflect on their session together.
