Program Areas
All our program areas are adapted to be inclusive of campers’ needs and run by trained Activity Leaders. Each program area has unique activities that are intentional, fun, and engaging.
Learn how to aim and shoot your own bow and arrow at the Archery Range.
From tie dye and friendship bracelets to painting and wood projects, the Arts & Crafts building is always buzzing with camper creativity.
The Double H barn is home to horses, mini ponies, goats, bunnies, chickens, and our beloved donkey, Manny. Campers can go horseback riding, hold the bunnies, and explore what it means to care for so many different animal friends.
Get in touch with your creative side through activities like improv, singing, poetry, and live action role play in the Creative Arts Department.
Discovery is the science hub at camp. Experiment with slime, magic mud, bottle rockets, make your own ice cream, and more! 
Take to the trees through our high ropes course, including a zip line, giant swing, cargo net, trapeze jump, and more!
Learn all about camping, fire building, and nature appreciation with our Outdoor Extreme team.
With both an indoor and outdoor pool at Double H, swimming is a favorite camper activity!
Team Adventure will take you to the kickball field, the basketball court, or maybe even the waterfront for a yoga session. This is where sports and team building happen at camp.
Go fishing from the dock or take a boat for a spin at the waterfront on Lake Vanare. You can peddle and steer one of our paddle boats, guide a row boat, or take a ride on the pontoon – you decide!
Camp Traditions
Like any summer camp, Double H has many events and traditions that we love to share from the opening night to closing day. Learn about a few of them here!
On the first night of camp, all of our cabins come together for a big campfire. Campers are welcomed by learning the story of Double H, sharing favorite camp cheers, and singing our camp songs together.
At the end of the day, campers and counselors return to their spaces for Cabin Chat. This camp tradition asks a common question of the group to help everyone reflect on the events of the day and learn more about one another. Questions can be silly, serious, or completely random, and everyone is given the chance to answer if they wish.
The last night of camp features the Double H talent show where everyone is invited to showcase their skills, from singing to pie-ing.
On the last night of camp, cabins visit the waterfront for our wishboat ceremony. It’s a time to reflect on the week together and celebrate new memories and friendships made.
