Family Weekend Volunteer Opportunities

In the Spring and Fall, the Double H Ranch provides families with the opportunity to participate in camp-based programming for a weekend. The overall goal of year-round programming is to continue to provide or meet respite needs while spreading the mission of Health and Happiness to children and families dealing with a life-threatening illness. We are in need of volunteers to help operate our Family Weekend Programs.

Available Volunteer Opportunities:

Family Pals

Family Pals spend a weekend at Double H Ranch paired up with a camper and their family and accompany them as they rotate through daily programming. Family Pals must be 19 years of age or have attended one year of college.

On Family Sleepover Weekends, volunteers are matched up with a family and accompany them through daily programming. These weekends give students, siblings, and other family members the opportunity to participate in activities together. As a Family Pal, you will work closely with a family to help them to feel comfortable at camp, to have someone to entertain the children with parents/guardians, to serve as a camp liaison and to answer questions, but most of all – to HAVE FUN!
